"It is a huge honour to be nominated as Chair of the Adelaide PHN board"
New Board Chair
When I joined one of Adelaide PHN’s Community Advisory Councils in 2015, I did so because I wanted to contribute to improving the health and health service experiences of local communities.
I believed then, as I do now, that critical to achieving this is strengthening our primary health care services, with the people who receive care, their families and carers, at the heart of this.
So it is now a huge honour to be nominated as Chair of the Adelaide PHN Board - a Board totally focused on supporting its staff, members and partners to work together to continue to make a very real difference to people’s lives. As we all live through these tumultuous times, I very much hope to see Adelaide PHN build on its fantastic achievements of the first five years to champion innovation in service delivery and build even stronger community engagement to achieve our aims and help those we are here to serve.
Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to Dr Nick Vlachoulis, the inaugural chair of Adelaide PHN, for his leadership of, and commitment to Adelaide PHN, and his unwavering passion for strong primary health care.
